First things first, these are shiny. SO shiny. Like, the photos are not a photoshopped exaggeration I couldn’t stop looking at how shiny they were kind of shiny. And I don’t mean that as a complement. The shine is plasticy, cheao and it smells like it too.They are quite obviously cheap shoes. They look it, and they feel it to wear. There’s no quality here, and I suspect longevity will be minimal. Walking in them you can feel the bend in the bottom of the shoe.That said, if all you need is a cheap pair of shoes for a one off event that you’ll never need them for, these will probably last the night. I’m not convinced they’ll last much longer. Air them out before you wear them. They stink.

FYI my husband usually takes a UK men’s size 8 and these fit well except for being a little tight across the highest part of the instep, this probably isn’t surprising since the listing states these shoes are ‘Asian sizing’ and advises the purchaser to order ‘one size larger’, however in this instance that would have made them too big. The tightness should be alleviated by using shoe stretchers – not ideal but ok under the circumstances.The shoes are attractive and seem well finished but there are ‘lumps’ on the inside of the shoe that correspond to indentations on the sole of the shoe. These can be felt with the hand, but according to my husband he didn’t feel them when he wore the shoes. It has to be noted that these aren’t genuine leather – not surprising at this price point – they look like genuine leather and even have a ‘leather’ scent, but they’re PU (polyurethane) leather, i.e. plastic. That doesn’t make these poor quality, but it’s worth noting if genuine leather is required.Apart from the slight tightness across the upper instep, these are comfortable shoes that would look good with jeans as well as formal trousers.The colour is definitely dark brown – the listing shows a colour that I would say is closer to Oxblood, but that isn’t apparent in the actual shoe. Brown isn’t for everyone, but I notice that when we go horse racing dark brown shoes are de rigueur, so that’s probably when these will mostly be worn by my husband.At £38.89 (as at 29 May 2024) these are a good value option, particularly if formal shoes are required only occasionally – my husband rarely wears formal shoes but he’s happy to wear these as and when the occasion arises. Worth considering.

I have to say I was sceptical when I ordered these shoes for my husband, knowing he is pretty particular, but when they arrived I was really surprise how nice they are, even though they are not real leather, they really look the part, and they are really comfy, they are sized perfectly so buy the size you are if choosing these shoes, overall, a great pair of shoes at a great price, I would recommend.

I am going to keep this brief.In the title they say Leather. In the description they say Leather. Hidden in the item specifics it says Faux Leather.They look good and are sized about right. The soles are very thin and they have little instep support. Supplied in a bag not boxed which is poor on £39 shoes.They are plastic, they feel like plastic, they smell like plastic. In fact the smell is so strong after 24 hours that Mrs P has told me to leave them in the shed!Simply put, in 2024 for that price they need to be boxed, made of leather, and all aspects of the advert need to not be misleading.This 3*** is generous as I cant possibly wear plastic shoes but others might be able to.

I got the brown patent ‘leather’ shoes and they look very smooth but they are not real leather. They have cushioning inside and are long in the toe, which gives a slimming effect but they are wide enough as well. I found them to be true to size. These shoes are comfortable and look modern and smart.

They’re surprisingly quite comfortable with a cushioned interior and durable craftsmanship. True to size, they fit snugly and pair well with various outfits. However, although the style is nice, they are most likely not actually leather, and they feel rather cheaply made with the soles being quite thin and the shoes being overly shiny.

Arrived with a little dent on one shoe. I hope it will go away as used on daily basis. Design is good and the quality seems good as well. Itis true to size and color as shown in the picture.
